I'm rather new to this area. I live in Vancouver, WA, having moved here a year ago from Eugene, OR. A friend of mine here has an apple tree which, although not well cared for, has produced a good amount of usable apples this year. My friend does not know what kind of apples they are, so I'm wondering if anyone could suggest who I might go to in this area to find out.
Thank you,
Jill
P.S.-I realize the Old Apple Tree Festival is happening this Saturday, but I'm not able to attend.

Come to the All About Fruit Show in a little over three weeks with several of the apples (picked ripe and refrigerated) that represent the range that are on the tree.
There is an apple identification team that is top notch.
Be prepared to describe the size of the tree and its location, when the apples ripened. Perhaps an estimate of its age and the property its on. If you have pictures of the tree, bring them.
