The HOS board has given me permission to organize a cider and perry contest to be held in conjunction with the "All About Fruit Show" next fall. To simplify matters, we will be using BJCP guidelines for judging the ciders. Here is some of their info:

In addition, we will have a separate category for "young ciders and perrys" made exclusively from 2009 pressings.
For this contest, either two 12 oz bottles or one 750 ml bottle can be entered. If you enter a sparkling cider, you should enter it in 12 oz bottles, so that if it goes on to best of show round, the carbonation still exists.
