It’s grafting time again. Everyone is invited to Peninsula Fruit Club’s Spring Grafting Show on March 15th from 10 to 4 at the West Side Improvement Club, 4109 West E Street, Bremerton, WA. Take the Loxie Eagans exit off Hwy. 3 and follow the signs.
Learn how to graft and make your own fruit tree, or have one of our members make it for you. BEGINNERS WELCOME! Choose from hundreds of different antique and modern varieties of apples, pears, plums, cherries, and other fruits. We will be selling EMLA 26, BUD 10, and Geneva 969 apple rootstock, OHxF 87 pear rootstock; Myrobalan plum rootstock, Krymsk 1 peach/nectarine rootstock, scion wood for grafting; and sticks of figs, grapes, and kiwis for rooting. Stock up on trees, berries, and other plants, footies for insect protection, grafting knives, mason bees and houses, and other supplies. Learn about pests and diseases and what to do about them. Find out all about our native mason bees and how to care for them. There will be lots of experts on hand to try to answer all your fruit related questions. Spend some time at the show and learn all kinds of interesting things. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for inviting us!
I have a limited amount of these to bring along to add to your collection,
Flory miniature peach
Seedling of Oregon Curl Free peach
Splash hybrid plum
All of these have something good about them to say for disease resistance and have been demonstrated to be adaptable to here by others for this local area of SW Washington.
There are no stipulations other than your own because patents have never existed or have already expired such as the case with the last Splash which reports being 3/8s apricot. None of them seem to be finicky about pollination either.
I got ill.
Take a rain check on these because next weekend I will be in your area.
With names and locations I can end up making strategic drop off points since my weekend trip is necessary anyways. So you can just PM me.
Sorry I couldn't be the first of us to make it. Having finally slept long enough I'm up to leaving now if there's any interests though so let me know and asap.

Rooney,
Sorry you weren’t able to make it. Hope you’re feeling better now. Sorry I didn’t check the forum sooner, but I kind of disengaged for a couple of days to recuperate from the effort put into the show. Now that the show is over, some of the scions have been distributed to others to take elsewhere. We have kept some to graft onto the remaining rootstock in order to have trees to sell next year. Maybe next year you will have scion wood available again and be able to make it to the show. Thank you again for your effort.
