Hi everyone,
We grafted more apple trees than can fit in the orchard and currently have over 50 trees that need new homes.
GeerCrest Farm (just south of Silverton) used to sell apple and pear trees around the Willamette valley starting in the 1850s. We are trying to bring back as many of the original varieties as we can find. The attached photo is a list of the varieties and quantities we currently have to sell. Many of these are difficult varieties to find -- and may be hard to find much information, too. We've accumulated some info on our website for most of the varieties: http://www.geercrest.org/apples
The trees are 2-3 years old and currently 5-7 ft tall. They are on M-7 Semi-Dwarf root stock, usually growing to 10-16 ft.
We are down south of Silverton, about 11 east of Salem. You'd be welcome to setup an appointment to visit and select trees (sooner the better). Or with family and friends being in the great portland town, I could make deliveries or meetups.
As an educational nonprofit, it would certainly appreciate $10-20/tree; and at the end of the day, its more important to us that they find good homes.
Warmly,
Adam
