Sam, welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure I've heard of pygmy pea shrub.  Is it edible?

Thanks.

Yes, I have read that it is edible with pods similar to a pea. It is supposed to be a nitrogen fixer and good for garden and other trees near by. It is a smaller version of the Siberian Pea Shrub (caragana arborescens), which will grow maybe 12ft tall. The pygmy version is said to grow 3-5ft.

The bigger one is a pretty famous permaculture/sustainable homestead plant.  The smaller one seems like a better fit for more urban areas.

Unfortunately, I don't know where to find it.
